Hi, I’m Holly Wallace and welcome to Inztinct Photography and Journalism. 

I've worked as a journalist and photographer since 2000 for numerous publications, mainly as a feature writer. 

My journalism career began in New Zealand as a newspaper columnist reviewing adventure activities such as heli-skiing and bungy jumping. It was a tough job, but someone had to do it:)

This led to a job as a regional reporter covering daily news, and then onto a features writer position for award winning newspaper, Mountain Scene (www.scene.co.nz) 

I went freelance in 2004 and developed strong relationships with magazine editors, delivering both words and images. Thanks to my love of the outdoors, I was commissioned to go on many adventures, including a visit to Yasur Volcano on Tanna, Vanuatu.

In 2007 my husband Josh and I packed up our lives in idyllic Queenstown and moved to the the heat and buzz of Qatar in the Middle East where Josh worked for Al Jazeera English and I continued to freelance as a writer and photographer. I also used my journalism skills to research and shoot a documentary exploring the lives of women in a modern Islamic society. 

In August 2008, we left Qatar and moved to Bristol in the UK to further our careers.
